Community Outreach & Social Impact

At Jagmohan Lal Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Jagmohan Lal Hospital, we are committed to our mission of providing affordable and quality eye care for all. The hospital strongly believes that no individual should be deprived of vision care due to financial or geographical limitations.

Since its inception, the hospital has successfully performed more than 16,000 eye surgeries, of which nearly 50% have been provided to underprivileged patients through subsidized or free treatment initiatives.

To extend quality eye care services to rural and underserved communities, the hospital organizes more than 120 community eye camps every year. Recognizing the limitations in healthcare accessibility and infrastructure in many regions, the hospital actively collaborates with Government CHCs (Community Health Centres) and PHCs (Primary Health Centres) to conduct outreach programs and screening camps.

Before every camp, our dedicated volunteers conduct awareness drives in nearby villages and local communities to educate people about eye health, preventable blindness, and the importance of early diagnosis. These community camps are organized with the valuable support of local sponsors and community partners. During the last financial year, we screened approximately 96,700 patients through these community camps.

Our outreach efforts continue even after the camps through door-to-door awareness activities aimed at identifying patients in need of further treatment and ensuring timely follow-up care through CRM software.

Capacity Building Programs

As part of our long-term community development initiatives, we also conduct training and capacity-building programs for:

• ASHA and Anganwadi workers
• Optical shop owners
• Eye Mitras and local healthcare volunteers
• Rural Medical Practitioners (RMPs)
• Local physicians for the early identification of diabetic eye diseases and other vision-related complications

Through these initiatives, Jagmohan Lal Trust and Jagmohan Lal Hospital continue to work towards creating a healthier, more aware, and visually empowered society.
